What Customers Say About KitchenAid KHB100ER Hand Blender, Empire Red:

I have only good things to say about this product. The weight is fine too. This was a Christmas gift for my husband but in fact, I wanted it for myself. it works beautifully in puree-ing soup both while in the pot or a bowl.
Just stick the hand held blender directly into the pot of cooked veggies and blend away. This hand held blender is soooo much easier to use and clean than my traditional blender. And best of all, you know exactly what is in that soup. In seconds you have a pot of lovely pureed soup. Cooking a creamed vegetable or lentil soup is a snap with this handy little gizmo. No messy pouring from pot to blender to pot.
This is my first immersion blender. I wish it stuck out of the top of the immersion blender. Who knows, maybe if it did, I wouldn't like that either. I like that it has 10 speeds. Buy this immersion blender if you're looking for something powerful and that has variable speeds. The only complaint is a minor one, and that is that the plastic guard piece behind the blade has a very slight gap between it and the metal, so it takes a little more care than just swishing it with water in order to clean it thoroughly. It's very powerful, I don't think I'd ever need to set up above 6 or 7, I usually use 1-5. I also find that the power cord gets in the way sometimes.
And I love the color (red). had seen it at a friend's and liked it after years of whipping cream manually.
I'm making more cream soups than ever before. The blender stores easily and doesn't take up much space. What took me so long to buy an immersion blender. The KitchenAid Hand Blender is easy to use and easy to clean up.
